Jackie Partridge is an artist living in Waterloo, ON Canada. She received her Master of Fine Arts from Concordia University in 2018. Jackie Partridge is inspired by nature, the landscape and preserving the natural environment. She is a mixed media artist creating handmade paper art, cyanotypes with botanical prints, cyanotype cards, and more.
Jackie Partridge is known for her ongoing Patched Project where she uses handmade map paper and embeds it in trees where the bark has naturally peeled away. This process acts as an offering back to the tree or a way to heal the tree poetically. You can learn more about the Patched series by clicking on one of the Patched books above. In her book Patched it is available as a hardcover book or an Ebook. The book includes photographs from the Patched process, photographs from the Patched series and nature inspired poems about trees. The book is 38 pages long.
Jackie Partridge uses the cyanotype process which is a chemical process involving sunshine to create beautiful blue and white printed fine art cards that make the perfect card for your family or for any occasion including birthdays, weddings, Valentine’s Day, sympathy cards and more. The cyanotype cards are blank on the interior so you can write a message to your loved ones. Afterwards, you can place the cards in a frame to have a beautiful piece of art. The cards are sold individually or in a set of four.
